One of my goals this year was to be more consistent with my posts, and I was doing really well up until this past November.  Unfortunately, I got hit with the longest cold/flu/awful hacking cough that lasted about 6 weeks.  During this time, I also had to say goodbye to my kitty, Kaboudal, who became sick right before Thanksgiving break. 

    Kaboudal had been with me for 18 years, through many ups and downs, and through many life changes, including becoming a librarian in 2009 and my marriage in 2012.  My husband grew to love her as much as I did, and even helped with giving her insulin twice a day for her diabetes.   The end came fast, for which I am grateful, but it still hit me quite hard and was one of the most difficult decisions I’ve had to make. She was a purr monster and loved to slobber, but most of all she was a good kitty, and will be missed.
      Now that the holidays are almost over, and my sadness has ebbed a little, I’ll be working on the posts that I meant to do over November and December.  Thanks for bearing with me!
