Sandy’s husband, Kurt, was her biggest supporter in starting Lessons By Sandy. He worked in media for 25 years, and produced more than 6,000 TV newscasts.  He earned a Bachelor of Science in Radio-Television-Film from The University of Texas at Austin, and owned a small production company.  Although he has passed away, he is sure to be listening to music, cheering for the Texas Longhorns, and watching over his family, friends, and Sandy with love.

Beth

Beth Brymer dedicated 36 years to educating children in the Texas public school system. She spent 13 years teaching first and second grade before serving for 23 years as an elementary school librarian. Her husband, Mike, often joked that being a librarian was the perfect job for her because she got to read books and spend money!

Beth’s greatest passions were building engaging library collections, sharing the joy of reading with children, and helping students become responsible, safe digital citizens. Now retired, she enjoys spending time with her husband, Mike, their granddaughters, and continuing to inspire young readers.
