September 7 = Grandparents Day
*Make a card, write a note or visit your Grandparents!
September 11 =Patriot Day
*Take a moment to honor and remember those who perished in the September 11th terror attacks
September 13 = Kids Take Over the Kitchen Day
September 17 = Constitution Day
September 19 = Talk Like a Pirate Day
September 22 = Autumn Begins!!
September 24 = International Rabbit Day
*Explore rabbits through books and/or databases. Then have students fill out their learning on this Animal Fast Facts.
September 26 =Johnny Appleseed Day
*Find a biography on Johnny Appleseed.Then have students fill out Biography Fast Facts.
September 27 = Native American Day
*Use databases to learn about Native Americans!
*Explore National Hispanic Heritage Month using books and/or databases. Then have kids share their learning. You can use this Country Fast Facts.
September is also Library Card Sign Up Month! Go visit your favorite library!
Activities For September:

These bookmarks have been a lifesaver for me this year in the library! After students check out their books, they choose one of the bookmarks to color. This gives them a fun, new bookmark each time they visit the library, but it also gives them something to do while they wait for others to finish finding their books.
