Themes, Skills, & Concepts: The Sour Grape can be a great starting point for discussing how to handle your feelings when you think people have let you down. And although the recommended reading age is 5-8 years, this book can be enjoyed and helpful for any age child!

Extension Activities: There are fantastic new vocabulary words in this story that your children may not know that can be sorted into groups of "sour" words or "sweet" words...words that describe how Grape feels when he has been ignored, or words that describe the feelings Grape has of happiness.
