Working Smarter, Not Harder (Part 1)

I don’t know if you’re like me, but I always have GRAND ideas about HOW MUCH work I’m going to get done over the summer…only to find myself around mid-July realizing I haven’t even STARTED any of the things I needed to do!  Then, of course, comes the panic.  Where was that document again?  What did I do at the beginning of the year?  So this time, I decided to Work Smarter, Not Harder!

This will be my 30th year of teaching, with the last 14  years in the library.  I’m almost embarrassed to tell you this next part.  I JUST came up with this idea THIS SUMMER that definitely is a “Work Smarter” idea!  (Well, I would be embarrassed if I didn’t think I was a genius) 🙂  In my panic this July to get a summer’s worth of ideas done in 2 weeks, I started to list out all the beginning of the year things I needed to either update or send to the printers.  Then of course came the frustration of, “Now WHERE did I save that?”  I’m actually super organized, and have folders within folders within folders. However after 30 years of teaching, you can imagine that I have quite a lot of folders! LOL

And that’s when it hit me!  I needed to create a document that would remind me of WHAT I needed to update/print with a description of WHERE it was located in my organized digital file system!  Brilliant, right???  I immediately got to work on creating this life saving, WORK SMARTER idea!  Here’s just the first page to give you an idea of how I’m using it.

I’d love to save everyone the next 30 years of panic, so I created this editable freebie for you all to download and start to use immediately!  All you need to do is insert your thumbnail pictures and then type where to find that document.

Click here to download the freebie!

Remember, WORK SMARTER, not harder this year!  Stay tuned for more posts about things that may help you out this year!  You can also check out my store here on my website or here at TpT for even more activities!
